Volunteer with us
Harlow Museum & Walled Gardens are delighted to offer a range of volunteering opportunities for anyone aged 17+, providing chances to learn, meet new people and have fun.
Our volunteers contribute their time, share enthusiasm and develop skills in an inspiring and supportive environment. We are proud to welcome our volunteers into a warm, friendly and passionate team, offering training, support and supervision so you can make the most of volunteering with us.
We are always looking for enthusiastic people to support a variety of roles, currently we are looking for reception, education ad gardening volunteers.
Enthusiasm for local social history, heritage and ideally with some experience of working with the public.

“I have been volunteering at the museum for about four years. Every day is different with visitors from Harlow and all over Britain and of all ages. Many people have their own story to tell about living in the town and their memories of past events.
There is a brilliant team of staff who have knowledge of the town and the artefacts we hold. I have discovered so much about the place I was brought up in and now live in. Special mention to the gardening team who work so hard to maintain the beautiful gardens.”
